Dong Chung is a pioneer in the international co-production business, with a string of co-productions between South Korean and international companies stretching back over 22 years. Mr. Chung’s specialty is in children's animated content, book publishing, live events and interactive games.
Over the years, Mr. Chung has created a series of relationships with top animation studios throughout Asia. Mr. Chung has served on the board of a major animation fund in Gwangju, South Korea and has done successful co-productions in China. Mr. Chung received his B.A. in Economics from George Washington University and J.D. from New England School of Law.
James Lau is a seasoned technology business executive with extensive experience in managing established businesses as well as private technology and media businesses. He was the product manager of IBM’s first e-commerce product, net.commerce. He was the Managing Director of IBM’s first and largest e-business solutions center, pioneering the remote delivery of e-business solutions to worldwide customers. He had served as CFO of a private film production company as well as an US OTC listed media company. Mr. Lau received his M.Sc. in Communication Engineering from the University of Manchester in England and his M.B.A. from The State University of New York in USA. He held two pending patents in internet technologies.
Gail M. Petry is a results-oriented Senior Executive Producer/Producer with extensive experience in film development and financing as well as fundraising for Broadway along with Games for feature films. She was responsible for putting the game team together for the Paws of Fury game, a recently released Paramount animated feature with the same name produced by Rob Minkoff and starring Michael Cera, Samuel Jackson and Michelle Yeoh. As VP of Development for Book Pop Media she has been involved in the Distribution of The Wishing Star, a completed Animated feature soon to be released in SE Asia and was involved in the development of Serendipity Series. She will be involved in all projects including a Mixed Reality (MR) book series and other animated features that Book Pop is currently developing. She executive produced the multi award winning foreign language film In The Life of Music which was selected as the Cambodian entry for the Best International Feature Film at the 92nd Academy Awards now on Netflix and Amazon. Gail is an advisor to the Board of Directors for the Sam Houston Southwest Film Investment Fund and advised in the acquisition of film projects for production and distribution.
Sewoong Say Lee has been in the animation, game, and publishing industry for over 25 years. He has created animated series, dvds, and games for children for the last 15 years. Director Lee joined BookPop in 2018 to become managing director of animation. Director Lee is also a published author that has sold over half a million books on children’s education. He graduated from the prestigious Yonsei University in Seoul, Korea with a BA in Chinese. He received his BA from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena California.
